At Panda our program is a play-based learning program. The program is strongly guided by the children’s interests, family feedback, and planning intentional teaching strategies.
The program integrates movement, music, and creative expression. We embed sustainable practices and teach the children how to care for their environment and the world around them. We value and encourage family involvement at our centre and aim to create a home away from home for all children, where they are nurtured to grow.
Our 3-5-year-old program put emphasis on language, numeracy, literacy science and technology skills. The children are given ample time to experiment, explore, create and problem solve through the engagement of a range of materials and resources such as creative art supplies, natural materials, loose parts, clay and playdough, pictures and books.
Moreover, educators will plan and arrange learning experiences, structured learning activities and play-based experiences which will focus on key concepts of numeracy such as oral counting and number identification. Children will be provided with a learning environment which helps facilitate the development of self-help skills to create a successful transition to school. Educators will ensure that secure and meaningful relationships are built with all the children as they learn to manage their emotions and interactions with others.
